Using Modo

The player and embedding

Put a Modo video on your docs, landing page or changelog with an embed code, or send a share link.

Every video in Modo has two things you can use straight away: an embed code and a share link.

The embed code

Copy the embed code from the video's page and paste it into your site. It places the Cloudflare Stream player on the page. The player uses adaptive bitrate streaming, so each viewer gets a quality that suits their connection, and it comes from Cloudflare's global network.

There are no ads, and no suggested videos at the end.

Your agent can give you the embed code too. Ask it to upload a video and "give me the embed", or to fetch a video you already have with get_video.

The share link opens the video on its own page. Use it in email, chat or social posts. For a private video the share link has to be a signed link. See Public and private videos.

Embedding without slowing the page down

  • Embed the player below the fold, or give it a fixed width and height so the page does not jump.
  • Use one video per section instead of a wall of players.
  • Prefer a poster image and load the player when needed if a page has several videos.

Where it works

The embed is a standard iframe, so it works anywhere you can paste HTML: static sites, docs tools, WordPress, Webflow, Framer and most CMSs. Some tools only accept a link, in which case use the share link.
